Astrology has been dated to at least the 2nd millennium BCE, and has its roots in calendrical systems used to predict seasonal shifts and to interpret celestial cycles as signs of divine communications. Astrology is a pseudoscience that afirm to understand and provide information by relating human affairs with terrestrial events. It relates with studying movements and relative positions of celestial objects in relation with time and human. It’s a testament to the power of astrology that even the biggest cynics probably know their sign. But it’s not until you go a little deeper into the stars and their power that things really start to get interesting. We are much more than our sign (in astrological parlance, that’s known as our sun sign). In fact, says psychological astrologer Jennifer Freed, we all have the traits—behaviors, feelings, thoughts—of all the signs of the zodiac in our birth charts. Which ones we act on is dynamic and always changing.

Astrology is an ancient art that extends WAY beyond your personal horoscopes. The movement and positions of celestial bodies can have a profound impact on your Life - love life, work life, and everything in between! Understanding the patterns of the universe gives you the insight you need to navigate life. A major part of Astrology is using the movements (transits) and relationships (aspects) of the planets to forecast what will be happening in our lives. So, what is astrology and what to astrologers do? In his wonderful primer, one of my mentors Shri Maulik Bhatt - The Predictor explains it this way, "Astrology is the study of the connection between celestial activity phenomena and earthly events. Those who practice astrology are called astrologers."

Those earthly events might include career, relationship, and wellness insights in your horoscope. The most reliable of these are predicted by professional astrologers who do their best to explain how the planets' current movements are affecting you based on where the planets were when you were born.

We also use the movement of the planets to explain or even predict current events, social trends, financial markets. And we can also take an in-depth look at your personality or your compatibility with others based on your personal astrology i.e. your birth chart. Charts are also used to investigate the characteristics and outcomes of events, like a marriage or election.
